Senior Product Designer

Overview: As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a critical role in leading the design and development of innovative digital products that delight users and drive business growth. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to translate user needs and business requirements into intuitive and visually compelling product experiences. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and hands-on design expertise.

Responsibilities:

1. User Research: Conduct user research, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gain insights into user needs, behaviors, and preferences. Use research findings to inform design decisions and validate product concepts.
2. UX/UI Design: Lead the end-to-end design process, from concept ideation to final implementation, for web and mobile applications. Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that align with user needs, business goals, and design best practices.
3. Interaction Design: Design intuitive and engaging user interactions and interfaces that enhance usability and create memorable user experiences. Ensure consistency in design patterns, visual elements, and interaction behaviors across all product touchpoints.
4. Visual Design: Develop visually appealing and on-brand designs that reflect the product’s identity and enhance its visual appeal. Use typography, color theory, and graphic elements effectively to communicate information and evoke emotional responses.
5. Prototyping and Testing: Create interactive prototypes to demonstrate product functionality and gather feedback from stakeholders and users. Iterate on designs based on user feedback and usability testing to optimize product usability and satisfaction.
6. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define product requirements, prioritize features, and align on design goals. Participate in cross-functional meetings, design reviews, and sprint planning sessions.
7. Design System: Contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive design system or pattern library that documents design guidelines, components, and standards. Ensure consistency and scalability in design across multiple products and platforms.
8. Mentorship and Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, helping them develop their design skills and grow professionally. Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in design thinking, collaboration, and innovation.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Master’s degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful product launches and innovative design solutions. Experience in both web and mobile app design is preferred.
• Design Skills: Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar. Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
• Research Skills: Experience conducting user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and validate product concepts. Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate design concepts, rationale, and value propositions to stakeholders. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex problems, identify opportunities, and propose creative solutions. Ability to balance user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints in design decisions.
• Leadership: Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and mentor team members, drive consensus, and champion design excellence. Ability to influence product strategy and advocate for user-centered design principles.
